How often should I vacuum my Carpets?

Updated: Dec 1, 2019

The most important clean for your carpet is proper vacuuming.

Regular and thorough vacuuming at least TWICE a week and more often in heavy traffic areas, will remove soil and dirt particles before they become embedded into the carpet, so the better your vacuum cleaner can perform the longer your carpet will last.

A Turbo head or Motorised head on your vacuum cleaner is highly recommended for deep vacuum cleaning of your carpets. Most new model vacuum cleaners now come with a motorised head. If you have an older vacuum, don't worry, the attachment head can be purchased from your local vacuum supplier.

The Brushes inside a turbo head sweep up and vacuum more then just dust particles, but also deep down soiling such as crumbs, sand and even hair. Not only does it vacuum a lot deeper, it also grooms the carpet pile allowing a softer more comfortable carpet to walk on. Grooming is also just as important on a plush pile carpet. This reduces the traffic wear and colour loss from regular walking over the same side of the carpet pile.

**Remember you can not over-vacuum and vacuuming should be the carpets best friend.
